Change the Color of Encrypted Files (Windows XP) Category: Home > Windows > Appearance
When a file or folder is encrypted it is normally shown using a different color in Explorer. This setting defines which color to use. Open your registry and find the key below. Create a new Binary value, or modify the existing value called 'AltEncryptionColor' using the settings below. Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
